The VWS Awards is a cross-sector industry awards show to recognize companies, nonprofits, and individuals that are leading the way in empowering women, and making a meaningful impact on the planet and animals.
The awards program is open to individuals of all genders and backgrounds, and companies and nonprofits of all sizes and locations. Selected nominees will be invited to join us at the live VWS Awards show in Hollywood, California, taking place on May 10, 2024, at the Vegan Women Summit.
The VWS Awards is a cross-sector industry awards show to recognize companies, nonprofits, and individuals that are leading the way in empowering women, and making a meaningful impact on the planet and animals.
The awards program is open to individuals, companies, and nonprofits of all sizes and locations. Selected nominees will be invited to join us at the live VWS Awards show in Hollywood, California, taking place on May 10, 2024, at the Vegan Women Summit. There is no fee to apply, and the nomination process is simple and straightforward.
Woman of the Year
This award is eligible for a woman leader* who is empowering women, and making a meaningful impact on the planet and animals.
Founder of the Year
This award is eligible for a founder or co-founder of a global company, nonprofit, or organization that is empowering women, and making a meaningful impact on the planet and animals.
Ally of the Year
This award is eligible for a man or nonbinary leader who is empowering women, and making a meaningful impact on the planet and animals.
Creator of the Year
This award is eligible for a creator who is using their social media platform to empower women, and make a meaningful impact on the planet and animals.
Best Place to Work
This award is eligible for a global company, nonprofit, or organization that is empowering women, and making a meaningful impact on the planet and animals.
Nonprofit of the Year
This award is eligible for a nonprofit organization that is empowering women, and making a meaningful impact on the planet and animals.
Company of the Year
This award is eligible for a company that is empowering women, and making a meaningful impact on the planet and animals.
Innovation of the Year
This award is eligible for a product or innovation that is empowering women, and making a meaningful impact on the planet and animals.

Is there a fee to participate?
No. There is no fee to participate in The VWS Awards. Please note that selected nominees are responsible for their own travel and accommodations for The VWS Awards.

Do nominees need to be women to participate?
No. Nominees of all genders and backgrounds are invited to participate. Please note that there are exceptions for two categories: Woman of the Year nominees must identify as women*, and the Ally of the Year nominees must not identify as women*.

Do nominees need to be vegan to participate?
No.

How will nominees be selected?
Nominees will be selected based on an internal review committee and selection criteria. Nominees will be assessed based on alignment with the VWS mission, level of impact, and unique contribution to supporting women, the planet, and animals.

What will nominees receive if selected?
Selected nominees will receive a complimentary ticket to attend The VWS Awards at The Vegan Women Summit Hollywood, taking place on May 10, 2024. Please note that nominees are responsible for their own travel and accommodations for The VWS Awards.

Where do nominees need to be located?
Nominations and nominees will be accepted from anywhere in the world.

Do nominees need to attend in person?
Yes. Nominees must be present at The VWS Awards to be considered for an award. In the case of a company, organization, or product, a suitable representative must be present at The VWS Awards to be considered for an award.
* Nominees of all genders, geographies, backgrounds, and industries are invited to apply. Finalists will be selected and invited to attend the award show live in person at our event on May 10th in Hollywood.
