Founder and CEO of Partake Foods, Denise Woodard, stands on the frontline of the food equity and equality movement. After her daughter was diagnosed with severe food allergies, Denise grew increasingly frustrated with the lack of safe snacks for her daughter to enjoy. Ditching her corporate job at Coca-Cola, Denise strode out on her own to create Partake, determined to solve Vivienne's snacking problem. Now one of the leading vegan cookie companies, Partake offers a delicious array of soft and crunchy plant-based cookies, all organic and allergen-free.
Denise has made it her personal mission to raise awareness and create opportunities for female and black entrepreneurs. Using the business empire she has built for herself, Denise founded The Black Futures in Food and Beverage Fellowship. A program designed to grant budding Black entrepreneurs the opportunity to work with some of the food and beverage industry's most influential brands.
When Denise isn't crafting delicious cookies or cutting down food inequality, she is blogging. Find Denises's thoughts on motherhood, bridging the pay gap, and what Whole Foods products she is devouring on the Partake Blog.
Like so many other great founders, Denise is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a BA in Interpersonal & Organizational Communications Studies, as well as MBA in Supply Chain Management from Arizona State University, W.P. Carey School of Business.
