Genesis Butler

A great-niece of Cesar Chavez, activism is in Genesis's blood. Turning vegan at the ripe old age of 6, Genesis went plant-based after learning that the milk she drank came from a mother cow. Now she tirelessly campaigns for animal rights and has traveled across the globe as an ambassador to veganism.

She has snapped up a whole host of awards for her activism, including Vegan Kid of the Year award from Vegans Are Cool, PETA's Youth Activist of the Year, Animal Hero Kids' Sir Paul McCartney Young Veg Advocate award, and the Lisa Shapiro Youth Activist award. Genesis also appears in several documentaries, including Cesar Chavez: Respect for All about her great-uncle, as well as Vegan: Everyday Stories , and The Invisible Vegan, a documentary showcasing the lives of vegan people of color. Getting to live out any comic-book fan's dream Genesis featured as a Marvel Hero on Disney's Marvel Hero Project.

Genesis regularly holds regular talks about her veganism and activism and has traveled from Rome to Paris, Milan, Brazil, and the UK to deliver her message. Despite her whirlwind schedule, Genesis still finds time to be a kid and can be found playing football, sewing, drawing, singing, and spending time with her friends.
