If you want to get an idea of Lucy Tabrizi’s core philosophies in life, look no further than the name of her film production company. Entitled the emphatic Disrupt Studios, Lucy’s goal is clear: challenge the norm, disrupt the system and fight for those who are unable to defend themselves. 

Rising to prominence with the Netflix mega hit Seaspiracy, Lucy is one half of the duo behind the shocking documentary exposing the devastating impact overfishing and commercial fisheries are having on our oceans. Working alongside her husband Ali, Lucy was the editor and lead cinematographer on the film. Her work has been received well by critics and audiences alike, with Seaspiracy receiving a 74% rating from film aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes, as well as a 7.7/10 rating on IMDb. The documentary has also managed to break into the Top 10 most watched Netflix shows in over 30 countries.  

Lucy has earned a Bachelor of Laws from Queensland University of Technology, a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Queensland, and a Graduate Diploma of Business and Accounting from Queensland University of Technology. Prior to being rocketed to superstardom Lucy served as an Office Manager for Vee Design and Steelcad Drafting and as an Accounts Assistant for the risk consultancy firm 4most.
